How to Prepare For IBPS Bank PO Exam 2012

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), as the name suggests, is a body which primarily works towards selecting eligible professionals for various jobs across number of banks all over India. It conducts the Common Written Examination (CWE). The IBPS PO exam 2012, under IBPS recruitment 2012, will be conducted for selecting personnel for 19 public sector banks. The best way for an effective, efficient preparation for these exams is to solve as many IBPS previous year question papers as possible.   Here are some other tips regarding how to prepare you for IBPS-CWE:

1. So while preparing for these exams, you need to keep in mind ‘’how can I cover all this in less time, more effectively.’’ The keywords to success in such sort of exams are efficient time management, speed and rigorous hard work.  When it comes to acquiring good time management skills, the mantra is solving sample papers, as many as possible. Set yourself a time limit while you are solving the papers. That way you will come to know where you are lacking and which the areas you need to focus upon more are.

2. You should have detailed knowledge about the syllabus and the course content. Then you need to make a proper action plan regarding how you want go about ‘covering the syllabus’. Maintain a time table. Set yourself some deadlines, regarding when to complete a particular subject or a particular chapter.

3. You need to keep yourself updated with the current affairs. Make a habit of reading at least one newspaper daily. Read it thoroughly, not down the important points. Purchase Manorama Yearbook, gasp it! It is the source to all the general knowledge you need.  By reading newspapers, magazines regularly, you will also be able to improve upon your English language skills.

4. Keep in touch with the Mathematics you learned at the 8th and 9th standard level. It’s necessary to have the clear cut knowledge of the basic higher level Mathematics. It’ll come handy at the time of preparation.

You can also join coaching classes for proper guidance and help regarding study materials.

The IBPS PO exam-2012, like any other year covers a vast syllabus and cracking this exam at the first go is no easy task. But with a well planned strategy followed by smart, well balanced preparation, you can crack it.
